    worth seeing

We were at the specified departure point on time. Here we were also confirmed that the ship is docking. But it didn't come. Another boat crew looked after us later and accepted our tickets (we had a printed ticket and a smartphone ticket shortly before the appointment.) The crew was very helpful. The boat ride took place and was good.

Trip started out disorganized. My boat never appeared. Two ships at dock both pointed to the other boat when I asked if theirs was my cruise. After lots of finger pointing in Russian, one boat welcomed me on board but never acknowledged that they were the boat operator on my ticket. No one accepted any responsibility. Since there were only two passengers on the entire boat, plus captain and two mates, the captain invited both of us into the bridge. He didn't speak any English (he was from Ajerbajan) but he was super nice and pointed out things in Russian for us to view and photograph. Periodically his Russian first mate used Google translate to identify some buildings on shore like International House of Music. They pulled a "audible" and took us farther than planned rather than returning to the departure spot, and then we walked to the Metro from there. They were very kind and helpful despite the confusion and having only 2 passengers. Great experience due to the kindness of the crew.

    Very enjoyable

Nice central location for boarding. Missed my departure time but had no problem getting on the next scheduled boat with the same ticket. Audio guide in English offered right away. The volume on the first device was too low, later the hostess exchanged it for a louder one and offered complimentary ice-cream for the inconvenience. Headphones were not sealed, you may prefer using your own. The crew did not speak any English but still managed to do a fine job. The tour was a 2-hour round trip, including a 15 minute stop, along the same route with emphasis on different sights on the return trip. Gave a fine overview of major attractions (like the Kremlin, Gorky Park, St. Basil's) as well as some lesser known to the average tourist. Stayed on the open upper deck for better photo opportunities. It was windy and blankets came in handy. The boat itself was not fancy but felt sturdy and safe. Overall very enjoyable.
