Full description
The adventure begins with early morning pickup in a private air-conditioned car from your hotel in Marsa Alam, then begins the 4-5 hour journey towards Luxor. Upon arrival in Luxor, meet your guide for the tour and head to the first stop of the day, Karnak Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Listed site. Wander around this fascinating location with your guide and learn about the many generations of pharaohs that once lived here. Afterwards, visit the Temple of Luxor to learn more about the pharaohs and festivities of Ancient Egypt.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite from exploring the temples, enjoy a tasty lunch served in a local restaurant with views across the famous River Nile. Check-in to your hotel after lunch then head back to Karnak Temple in the evening for the popular Sound and Light Show. After a restful night’s sleep, enjoy breakfast at your hotel on day 2 and then travel to the Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to 20th dynasty. With your expert guide, learn about the rulers who are entombed here such as the Great Pharaoh Ramses II and Pharaoh Tutankhamun. The tombs were stocked with all the material goods a ruler might need in the next world, as such there is plenty to be admired on your visit.

Continue the tour onto Hatshepsut Temple, one of the most beautiful and well-preserved temples of Ancient Egypt. Next, visit the iconic Colossi of Memnon, 2 massive stone statues that once depicted King Amenhotep III. Marvel at these fascinating sculptures and listen to incredible stories about the rulers and times through which they have lasted. Lunch is served at a local restaurant, providing more stunning views of the Nile, before you begin the return journey to Marsa Alam in the afternoon.
