What people are saying about Montserrat Monastery

Make good use of your time in Montserrat!

Irena our guide was amazing, pleasant and very informative filling us in from the moment the bus left until the final destination. If you intend to take the funicular to the top make sure you have enough time as by the time you arrive at Montserrat and are filled in on all the history etc...you will have about one hour of free time. Luckily we had enough time to see the Black Virgin which was about a 40 minute wait in line but well worth it. Unfortunately the boys in the boys choir are still on break so we could not hear them. We are told that this is a highlight. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery!

6:45 am was the perfect time to visit Monserret..skip the crowds and l

The tour guide was exceptional. We arrived before the crowds and did not feel rushed to see the Black Madonna. The only down side was we didn't have enough time in the museum where there were paintings by Dali, Picasso, and others.. We could have used an additional hr to make this tour even more perfect. The driver also was very good..making sure we were safe going around all the switch backs.

Easy & comfortable way to see Montserrat

The bus was comfortable. We arrived at Montserrat very early just even before crowd arrives which means we don’t have to queue for a long time and can take better pictures without too many people around. The guide was knowledgable & friendly. The tour was half day though so we did not get enough time to explore the whole place. Nonetheless, it’s highly recommended.

Very good tour but would have been better if not bilingual

Lea was a fun guide, very informative but she had to explain in both English and Spanish. Tour operator could have grouped people by language as there were 3 groups at the same time. Tour was not boring and Lea gave us enough time to have free time which enable us to do things suited to us personally.

Monsterrat was amazing ! Beautiful scenery , church interesting history ! The tour to Sagrada Família was very interesting but lots of standing , which after the Monsterrat tour was tiring ! Better to do them separately ! Tour guides were great very knowledgeable
