The door was excellent. Demetrios was a fantastic guide with so much knowledge and the walk was great
Demetrios was an excellent guide. He is very upbeat, kind and constantly was checking that we were alright. Because we wished to learn more about the history of the area and Montreal, he customized his talking around that. The route was most enjoyable. If you are looking for a physically challenging walk, this is probably not the hike for you. Yes, we did have a several staircases, both up and down. But about a third the amount than if you took the staircase straight up (and down). The staircases were broken up by trails that are more like “switchbacks” mostly around a 5% grade. This way we were able to see more of the park as well, with a number of stops for pictures, too. My husband and I, both in our mid-60s had no trouble with this hike. I walk 2-3 miles most days at a 0-5% grade. If you can do that along with about 250 stairs, you will be fine. Then go for the fun of it. Demetrios, born and raised in Montreal, has a wealth of knowledge that he readily shares. You won’t be sorry!

Know before you go
- When considering a moderate walk or hike, it's essential to understand not only the trail but also your own pace and comfort level. Such adventures often promise reasonably manageable terrains surrounded by stunning landscapes, providing ample opportunities to experience nature's beauty without overwhelming exertion. However, if you find that you move at a slower pace or if you prefer a more personalized experience, booking a private tour can be a great solution. A private tour allows for a tailored itinerary that accommodates your group’s speed and interests, ensuring you can take the time to appreciate the sights along the way. Moreover, with a dedicated guide, you gain insights into the local flora and fauna that you might miss otherwise, enhancing your overall experience.
- Opting for a private tour on a moderate hike not only offers flexibility in pacing but also fosters a more intimate connection with the landscape and your fellow hikers.
