If you don't like your guide you can just wait 15 minutes and get on a new bus. 3 of the 4 tour guides I experienced were amazing and very knowledgeable of the City and Quebec. I would Recommend this tour if you are visiting. I did enjoy it and used the pass both days

My husband and I enjoyed the Hop On Hop Off Montreal Bus last week. The loop was great and buses stayed on schedule. All Tour Guides were great. My only wish is that the company offers a 1 day Tour.
