This is a picturesque getaway away allowing you to explore the delightful countryside outside of Montpelier on a half or day tour. You will be picked up at your hotel or accommodation for a commented road trip. The destination is Pic Saint Loup, a Montpellier highlight, and a commune of the Coteaux du Languedoc, some 20 km inland from the city. Discover a terroir, visit two wineries, meet the winemaker, and taste the wine. You will drive to a quaint and relaxed medieval village. Thereafter, on the way to the family house, you will be served a table meal with produce from the nearby farm, prepared by the mother of the tour guide - an expert cook.

Set off from Montpellier and delve into the stunning natural landscape of the Languedoc region. Take in the delicate aromas of the "garrigue", Mediterranean flora, as the scenery passes by. Admire the magnificent Pic Saint-Loup. Visit 2 different wine-growing estates with diverse histories and styles. Listen to the expert wine-growers as they explain everything from the working of the vines to vinification and aging. A short tasting workshop will teach you the art of describing and appreciating a wine. Then, return to Montpellier

Meet your guide at 14:00 on the Esplanade de l’Europe and take off for a visit of 2 historical châteaux producing wines around Montpellier. You will get to know their story and taste their excellent range of wines. During the tour you will visit château de Flaugergues, a sumptuous bourgeoisie summer house dating back to 17th century, before tasting their excellent range of wines. You will then visit the famous Château Puech Haut, settled in beautiful surroundings in the middle of vineyards and olive trees. You can admire a unique and original exhibition of painted oak barrels You will return to Montpellier around 17:30.

Meet your guide at 10AM on the Esplanade de l'Europe. Start with a visit to a magnificent wine estate and its Renaissance-style castle backed by its 11th century chapel and nestled in a lush garden. You will also visit the vinification cellar and the oak barrel cellar before tasting their range of white, red and rosé wines. Then, sharpen your palate and delight your taste buds with a visit to an oyster and shellfish farm. Learn about this little known farming and enjoy oysters that may still be in the water at the beginning of your visit. You'll head back to Montpellier around 1/ 1.30PM.

You'll visit an olive oil producer and a wine estate to taste the nectar of the Languedoc region! The tour starts at 9AM from the Esplanade de l'Europe in Montpellier. After a 30-minute drive you'll start by visiting a  family-owned olive farm and its 16th century mill, where the owners have passed down their savoir faire from generation to generation. Treat your taste buds while savoring delicious products such as olives, olive oils, vinegars, and their specialty, la farigoule, brimming with the flavors of the South of France. You will then take off to discover a traditional wine estate and learn everything about the production, vinification and tasting of wine in the Languedoc region with a short wine tasting workshop. Back to Montpellier around 12.30.

Accompanied by your local guide, discover the main sites of the charming medieval city center of Montpellier and taste along the way some regional specialties. Meet your guide on the Place de la comedie in front of the Opera House next to the Fountain of the Three Grace. Your first stop will be at the indoor market where you will taste there a selection of regional cheeses and some seafood delights from the neighboor harbor city of Sète. Your guide will then lead you through the picturesque medieval streets to sample a “fougasse”, typical bread from the South of France, a pastry, olive oil and tapenade, chocolate and of course wine ! In total you will taste 10 of our local specialties and see the main highlights of the historical district of Montpellier.
