I recommend! The guide and the driver were very kind and I learned a lot about Colonia del Sacramento. I need to stay in Colonia and change the route to Granja Arenas (which was scheduled to return from Colonia) so that I could visit. The path is good for a first visit and has excellent gastronomic options. The majority of shops, kiosks, cafes and restaurants are only accepted in Colonia, so you have to bring some amount of money.

Other than the tour company not having me on a manifest for pick all worked out. Great little town! Shouldn't be missed! I would have liked a little less detail on the history and maybe a little less history. The flora & fauna was lovely. The buildings were charming and the people friendly. Perhaps explanation of some of the farm (crops and animals) both directions. Being English speaking, you won't get all the same details as Spanish & Portuguese on any tours. It's fine, I can understand some! The guide went out of his way to help me especially after disastrous pick up. Certainly didn't make the other passengers happy either.

Really worthwhile day trip

A great tour to get a first impression in Colonia about the beginning of the initially Portuguese, later Spanish settlement. Nice place, with good gastronomy. Well organized and committed by our guide in three languages (Spanish / Brazilian / English), with great commitment and with explanations of everyday life in good English. Small drawback: collecting the participants and getting there was a bit lengthy. An hour longer in Colonia would have been ideal! Even so, the total duration was 9 hours.
