Overall rating
Great way to transfer from La Fortuna to Monteverde. It was a smooth pick up at our accommodation in La Fortuna to Lake Arenal (approx 20-30 minutes). We got on the boat fairly quickly and rode for about 30 minutes on smooth water. It was beautiful and serene. We got off at another point on the lake then hopped onto a bus that was already waiting for us and dropped off about 1 hr 30 minutes to Monteverde. We went during low season so we were the last to get picked up in La Fortuna and first to get dropped off in Monteverde. Timely and low stress transportation.
Professionally run, great guides all in communication via earpiece radios, so all the small groups got a chance to see everything. We zigzagged around the reserve and saw scorpions, spiders, porcupine, sloth and as the name suggests - Kinkajou!
The tour was great! Freddy and Eddy were so kind and knowledgable. We couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Coffee tasted great and pickup was super smooth as well. 100% recommend.
Fantastic experience! Luis was friendly and knowledgeable. We gained so much more from having a guide, as opposed to walking the trails on our own. Cannot recommend enough!
Steven was an awesome, highly motivated Guide. we had a lot of fun and saw a lot like: Sloth with Baby, snake, Kinkajou..
