Take a guided walking tour through the rich biodiversity of the Monteverde Forest as nocturnal mammals, birds, insects, reptiles, and amphibians wake up for the night. Be picked up and dropped off at your doorstep in Santa Elena or Monteverde. 

Hop aboard an air-conditioned coach and sit back and relax on the drive into the Forest area. Find out for yourself how busy the forest can be at night as most animals are active in the evening and around 80 percent are nocturnal. 

Follow your guide through paths lined with lush vegetation. Spot critters that are not seen during the day on a 2-hour walk. Look for animals like raccoons, sloths, armadillos, olingos, and kinkajous that are active at night. 

Follow your guide on a magical journey through a beautiful forest as well as a sustainable coffee, banana, and sugar cane area. Return to your accommodation in Santa Elena or Monteverde by coach at the end of your tour.

It was an experience, walking in the jungle in the dark. It rained a bit, but not unexpected. We were told to bring a rain jacket and it was required. You can’t control nature, but it was a little disappointing to see so few animals. We saw two birds, a couple of ordinary stream frogs (not bright green or red), an armadillo and most exciting, a LARGE tarantula. The guide apologized for the lack of wildlife but that’s out of his control. The best part was that we were at the Aguti reserve all alone, not like the other larger night walk reserves where more groups tend to go. Glad we had this experience.

Amazing time walking through the forest at night, seeing the different insects and having the guides search for them. It was amazing just to see wildlife outside of a television screen, and have a guide that was very knowledgeable about each insect and animal that we came across. 100% would do it again, and I've already been recommending it to others.

Very enjoyable evening walk . It was very windy so birds etc where fairly quiet but guide was very knowledgeable and knew what to look out for. We saw a number of things such as Tarantulas, snakes, birds and some amazing huge unusual trees ! Good atmosphere at night.
