Monteverde: Lake Crossing to La Fortuna de Arenal

Awful. Avoid at all costs! There is nowhere on the form to add your drop off hotel. Ours was 7 minutes from the dock in Arenal and en-route to La Fortuna. We checked before we travelled and were told it would be an extra 33 dollars to drop off at our hotel despite this being apart of the service we had already paid 97 dollars for. We decided it might be easier to get a taxi from the dock instead of travelling 25 minutes to central La Fortuna (the only stop) then having to travel all the way back again. Nope! You get dropped at a dusty baron dock with nothing and nobody anywhere around, nor any phone signal. The driver told us that he could drop us at a supermarket nearby but it would be too dangerous so our only option was to add 50 mins to our journey and get a taxi from town almost all the way back to the dock! We had to carry our bags through sand and load them on the boat. Just book a car service all the way instead! Greedy company who do not care about customers

Very nice and beautiful crossing. An activity in itself to go from Monteverde to La Fortuna.
