Lethe (pronounced Lee-tie by the locals) is nestled in the hills along the banks of the Great River which borders the parishes of Hanover and St. James. Lethe, a former sugar/banana plantation estate now offers river excursions by experienced raft captains. Enjoy the picturesque scenery while rafting on 30ft long bamboo rafts. The rafts take you along the Great River and under the historic bridge at Lethe, built by slave labor over 200 years ago in 1820. Take a dip in the in the river at suitable locations and enjoy the cool waters as you go up and down the river. Purchase jerk chicken and beverages among other things from raft “shops”. These floating shops along the river are provided by ingenious Jamaicans. Get up and dance to the rhythm of the music blaring from the raft “shops”. check in with your tour guide as they will probably be able to pick you up from your hotel even if it is not listed on your app. great experience I have copd and managed the falls so don't worry if you are not fit as a fiddle!

This was really good, drove on real roads, saw animals the mountains, visited the river (lots of good vibes) the vegan meal included was soooo good! 100% recommend
