Full description

Take a ride on the wild side on this ATV safari tour through the brilliant Jamaican back-country. Climb aboard your ATV for an amazing tour of undiscovered Jamaica. The ATV is easy to handle and gives you unparalleled access to the untouched hills and plains of this beautiful Caribbean island. Journey around the rugged dirt trails of a colonial-era estate. Explore the scenic mountain terrain. Traverse through local communities and forests. Release your wild side as you explore the real Jamaica. On this 1 hour 45 minute ride you’ll enjoy the island’s lush tropical beauty as you head to Cascade, a community neatly tucked away in the Blue Hole Estate of Hanover parish. Winding your way upward on the four-wheel bike, you’ll have the unique opportunity to head up to a point 2,200 feet above sea level. As you ascend, the expert guides will tell you about the native flora and fauna and how they have been traditionally used by local people. During the drive, you’ll learn about the history of communities such as Pumpkin Bottom and Smithfield, and also of one of Jamaica’s oldest Presbyterian churches. The church was built out of local stones by slaves in 1840.

Very good and funny ... but

But a little too short. The tour should start at 10.30 a.m. We only got to the ranch shortly before 11am and by the time it started "really" it was half past 11:30 ... put on helmets, briefing and a few test laps. The tour was over shortly before 1 so we really only drove 1h ... I personally had imagined it a bit longer. From the 3 small "villages" (I don't remember exactly how it was described) we drove through 1. Photos only go before and after the tour. You can buy all photos for just under 50 dollars. They are great photos and they make it really great, but I personally find it too expensive. You only stop in between in a place where it is not really very nice. The "view" from the "mountain" takes 10 seconds ... It was a nice tour in itself but I think it was all too fast ... u too short for what was in the description. I would still recommend the tour because it is a great experience. (Recommended for beginners
