Full description
See the highlights of the fortified village of Mont Saint-Michel, built on an 83-meter high cliff of pure granite. Learn the history of the settlement, from 708 AD when the Archangel Michael is said to have made an appearance and ordered a monastery be built on top of the rock.

Enter the medieval village and walk to the abbey listening to stories about the island's history along the way. Discover how it became a strategic stronghold for the Bretons and French, and how it resisted invasion from the English during the Hundred Years' War.
