Montserrat was amazing! The beauty of the basilica, Black Madonna, and mountains were breathtaking. As if that weren’t enough, the museum held works of art of Picasso, Dali and many others. This was spiritually, religiously and artistically so fulfilling.

Monserrat is a must do while in Barcelona and the half day excursion we had planned would have been cancelled due to rain so we booked this in order to secure access; however, we were not made aware when we booked a 4:45pm excursion that most everything would close in less than an hour. It is still a beautiful place and i'm happy we got to see it but we were all disappointed that we didn't get to learn more or see more before it closed.

It was such an amazing experience. Catching the metro L1 from Glories to Espanya and getting the return ticket Montserrat and cable cart was the best experience as we were able to see the views and take pictures. Being able to have the experience at your own pace with a map and audio provided was good as you can go and see the places you want in Montserrat. Buy admission ticket and you train and cable cart was definitely cheaper
