Embark on a hike along the Monachil River and take in the sights of the Sierra Nevada beyond. Begin your tour in Granada, where you'll meet your guide and go on a short drive to reach the town of Monachil. Just beyond the town hall, park and set out on your hike. Walk along the Monachil River until you reach the limestone gorge. Continue along the path and cross several hanging bridges over the gorge. Look down the gorge to catch glimpses of the challenging climbing areas frequented by the "Cahorros school." Venture further upriver as you climb steps and use anchored iron bars for a handrail. Next, enter the Palomas tunnel, created by large stone blocks embedded in the narrow part of the gorge. As you reach the other side, enjoy the fresh scent of pine forest that surrounds you. Then, admire the breathtaking views of the peaks of Cerro Huenes, "Los Pollos," and "Cerrajón." Follow your guide along a suspension bridge to begin your return journey. Before you reach Monachil, pause along the riverbank for panoramic views of Los Cahorros and a summertime swim. Once you've arrived in town again, enjoy a relaxing ride back to Granada to complete your tour.

The Cahorros Park in Monachil is a special place for rock climbing, and therefore for practicing activities such as rappelling, hiking and caving. Leaving from the city of Granada and just 35 minutes driving, you will be in a magnificent place with large rocky walls and suspension bridges that run through the Monachil river, in this you can practice a little rock climbing, then we will enter a small cave to ascend inside a few meters and exit through its upper part, then rappel down again to the path, if the conditions are good we will also rappel along a 15-meter waterfall. After a short presentation of the group and a brief introduction to the bike, we set off directly towards the center of Granada. Our route takes us through narrow streets and hairpin bends, passing the sights of Granada. Of course, there is always time for short photo stops. From the center, we continue to the oldest quarter of Granada, called Albaicín, where the ancient Romans already resided. The remains of the walls are proof of this era. We leave the Albaicin and head to higher ground. Overlooking the highest mountains of the peninsula, after a short climb we pass through the Sacramonte neighborhood, known for its music, dance and flamenco shows. Take some pictures and let's go.
