From Ma'alaea: Turtle Town Snorkel Aboard the Quicksilver

1. From Ma'alaea: Turtle Town Snorkel Aboard the Quicksilver

Spot Hawaii's native marine life in its natural habitat on a snorkel cruise to Turtle Town from Ma'alaea Harbor. Swim past green sea turtles, Moorish idols, and even humpback whales. Enjoy an onboard lunch and drinks. Set sail from Ma'alaea Harbor towards the westside of the island to Turtle Town, aka Mala Wharf (if weather conditions allow). See where, in 1992, a powerful hurricane created an artificial reef and sanctuary where corals and other marine life thrive. Spot Moorish idols, green sea turtles, and saddle wrasse while snorkeling here. If snorkel conditions are not ideal at Turtle Town a.k.a. Mala Wharf, cruise to one of the other premier westside snorkel locations such as Honolua Bay, Airport Beach, or Launiupoko. See Hawaiian green sea turtles, brightly colored tropical fish, and beautiful coral reef formations. During the whale season between December to April, observe humpback whales as they enjoy the warm Hawaiian waters (time permitting). Learn from expert narration about the whales and provide a play-by-play commentary of the whales' behavior as you view them.

Staff was more than up to par. Each and everyone of them were very attentive and made sure we were safe and helped us with our goggles, guiding us through the ocean and constantly being compassionate. Fun crowd. Would go with same hostess again.

It was a great trip. Saw dolphins and lots of fish. No turtles unfortunately. Lunch was fine but our boat was full so it was a little crazy for the serving. Not the ship’s fault, other passengers who can’t follow simple rules and patience.

Great staff! Extremely considerate of everyone onboard. They got us right to the turtles, and there was always someone nearby if you needed something. Good lunch afterwards, and wonderful views and entertainment along the way. 5 stars!

It was neat to see Angel gosh, Parrot fish among countless others. Safety was their #1 goal and the entire crew was so nice and friendly and fun!

It would have been helpful for some of our group to have help getting into the water,
