We will leave from the center of Cagliari to head towards the coast road that will take us to Villasimius. Along the way, we will see the famous Devil's Saddle and pink flamingos in the Molentargius Lagoon. Continuing, we will be able to admire breathtaking views and take unique photos. We will visit two completely different beaches. You will be able to swim in the crystal clear waters, snorkel and meet the fish of the protected marine area. You can walk on the soft sand or among the white granite rocks, surrounded by the Mediterranean scrub. We return to Cagliari at 3 pm after a relaxing excursion to the eastern beaches of Sardinia.

By this tour, departing from the Port of Cagliari you will travel through the new bike path along the channel "Palafitta", and then into the park. From here you will soak into the history and will admire the remains of the Old City of Salt, which for centuries has characterized the economy of the area, and finally, will dive into a nature trail during which it won´t be difficult to see the beautiful flamingos. The Park is an exceptional area due to the presence of fresh and saltwater basins that host plants and animals of rare beauty, including the wonderful pink flamingos. A pleasant journey with eco-friendly electric bikes along the Cagliari gulf coast, its canals, and the nature of Molentargius Park, in the company of flamingos and seagulls. From the port, the ride continues along the coast to the Terramaini canal bike lane which leads to the natural park and the “City of Salt”. From there, you move across the lagoon to the Poetto beach, where you stop for a break in a seafront restaurant/bar. Continue across the Devil's Saddle cape up to the lighthouse of Calamosca and its spectacular view. This is the last stop before coming back to the city center.

You will start from one of the historic district in the city: La Marina, then you will head for the harbor and, thanks to the bike lane you will reach Molentargius Natural Park, where you will see pink flamingos as well as different species of seagulls, herons and other birds. From there you will ride to Poetto Beach until the Bay of Calamosca where the hiking trail for the Devil’s Saddle starts. This is a protected area as well as one of the most beautiful naturalistic spots in the City, full of stories and history. From the panoramic terrace you will enjoy a perfect view of the Gulf of the Angels and the City of Cagliari.

Are you looking for a tour that doesn't make you walk all the way uphill? Then this is the tour for you! First of all we are going to drive up to Piazza Yenne, where you'll see Carlo Felice statue and then you'll learn everything about the historical areas in Cagliari. After that we'll drive again up to Castello area. Here we'll start walking and we'll visit the citadel inside the walls, where you'll see the Pisan tower, the amazing view from the top, the Palazzo Viceregio, the Cathedral and then finally the Bastione of Saint-Remy. All of this of course together with your guide that will tell you all about the history and the fun facts about the area. Down the Bastione we'll take the car again and we'll drive to Basilica of Bonaria where you are going to admire the wonderful staircase and beautiful church while you discover the tale of the wooden statue that arrived from the sea. After that, we are going to drive up to Sant'Elia lighthouse, where you are going be fascinated by the turquoise water of the little cove of Calamosca. Later we'll reach the Poetto beach and the majestic Devil's Saddle there, where you'll learn everything about the famous tale. Then, we'll drive along the Molentargius Park, home to the characteristic pink flamingos. Here we'll have a stop to try to catch a picture with the flamingos (finger crossed they'll stay close!).  After that we'll be ready to get back to the meeting point.

Our tour will start from Largo Carlo Felice. We will unveil one of the most beautiful cities in the Mediterranean aboard our minivan. We will make 6 stops of 15 minutes each at the most important and characteristic points of the city. We will cross the historic Castello district, where you can visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and Santa Cecilia, the main place of worship in Cagliari, the mother church of the homonymous metropolitan archdiocese and the parish of the historic Castello district. Next, we will stop at Bastione of Saint Remy, one of the symbols of Cagliari. Built between 1896 and 1902, the Bastione di Saint Remy is one of the most important fortifications in Sardinia and marks the border between two historic districts of Cagliari: Villanova and Castello. During our stop, you can admire the entire city from above and take stunning photos overlooking the Gulf of Cagliari. Our third stop will be the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Bonaria, a religious complex in the city of Cagliari located on the homonymous hill, representing one of the most important Marian buildings in Sardinia. We will then move to the Poetto area, where you can look at the fantastic sea of Cagliari and, on the other side, the salt flats of the Molentargius Natural Park and the Pink Flamingos that inhabit the park year-round. Our last stop will be Monte Urpinu Park, located on the homonymous hill, extending over thirty-two hectares in total. Originally covered by natural forestation, Monte Urpinu takes its name from the Sardinian word 'urpino,' meaning fox, due to the abundant presence of foxes that inhabited it up to a century ago. Viale Europa, which borders the southeast side of the park, is one of the most famous and important panoramic points in the city. From here, you can admire the sunrise over the Gulf of the Angels and the Devil's Saddle or the sunset towards the mountains of Capoterra, while enjoying the spectacular view of the entire city.

It was an excellent day, Claudia was an outstanding guide, wonderful knowledge, and information, not just on script but also fielding questions on random local subjects. Barbara was also superb. The beaches were outstanding and they took tremendous efforts to find us some Pink Flamingos to take pictures of. A wonderful day highly recommended to anyone visiting Cagliari!
