Full description

The Luciano Pavarotti House Museum is the home that Maestro Pavarotti had built in the Modena countryside, within a large estate, where he lived the last years of his life. It was opened to the public in 2015 to firmly link the Maestro's memory to his beloved homeland and to make the Luciano man behind the great artist Pavarotti better known to the public. The house is still today as the Master left it and can be visited entirely. It holds all the objects he loved to surround himself with and contains the memories of the days spent in the company of family, friends and students to whom he gave singing lessons.

We got a taxi from Modena railway station to the house and the cost was 17 euros. For our return journey back to Modena the friendly man at the house phoned for a taxi after we had completed the tour. We only had to wait for 10mins so we sat in the peaceful garden. The whole experience was wonderful , uplifting and inspiring . You could feel his presence and warmth everywhere in the house . You follow a set pathway around the whole house with your personal handheld Information Recording Device ( no charge) . The information is in very informative and clearly spoken. . When we visited the house there was no time limit ( only another 4 visitors there ) so you can really absorb the atmosphere of the house and listen to his beautiful and talented voice . You will see his stage suits , the handkerchief , scarves and hats plus lots more of items. We would still highly recommend you to go even if you do not like opera music , because you leave with some more love in your heart .
