Full description
Begin the evening on the banks of the Colorado River, just 2 miles north of Moab, Utah. Savor a delicious cowboy-style Dutch oven dinner in a dining room overlooking the water. After dinner, climb aboard a flat-bottomed boat and begin your river adventure. A knowledgeable and entertaining guide will point out things of interest and ignite your imagination. Once darkness settles in, the formal part of the evening begins when 40,000 watts of natural light illuminate the canyon wall. Watch as lights, shadows, music, and narration make the stories of the canyon's formation, creation, and history come to life on the walls above the river - as learned from the early settlers of the area (the Catholic conquistadors, Native Americans, and Mormon pioneers). This Sound and Light Show is a not-to-be-missed unique experience and a great end to a perfect day in Moab.

First, the dinner before was awesome! Too much food to choose from! Then the boat cruise as the sun starts to set. Or guide told us many cool facts about the red rocks, arches, and pointed out the black varnish on some of the rocks. It was fun, although a bit chilly this time of year, middle of April. Was a really cool experience to see their truck light up the rock cliffs as they told stories. Very nice, and good for all ages I believe!!

Our dinner cruise experience was Really Good. We enjoyed the all you can eat buffet. There were several meat choices, salad, your choice of drinks and an OK dessert. Our tour guide Tosha was informative with a lot of fun stories. The light show was Good. It was worth the price and when I return I would do the cruise again.

We just simply enjoyed it and socializing with other guest from different parts of the country. The staff was very organized both in the dinning room and on the boat. The cowboy dinner was good. The ride on the river was narrated. It was very cool that evening and the staff passed out blankets for everyone. I thought the trip was a good value as well. We were happy with the whole evening.
