It was quite a unique experience to be on the Colorado River however: The trip is advertised as 4 hours. The time on the water was actually only about 2 hours 15 minutes (when called , we were told 3 hours on the water). We did not have enough opportunities to take pictures. It was a bit scary under current river condition when our guide suggested one of the participants to take oars. When we approached rather big rapids he went sideways and almost lost control.

We had such a great experience on our 1/2 day rafting trip. The scenery is beautiful! Our guide was Carter, and I highly recommend requesting him. He made the trip so fun and informative. He taught each of my kids to row properly and did it with such encouragement, patience, and fun! This was a highlight of our cross country trip!

First let me tell you that I’m afraid of almost everything. The guide, I believe his name was Cole, sorry if it wasn’t , was very funny and I think that made me a bit more relaxed. This tour definitely is for beginners, like me! Very gentle waves. I believe only one made me jump and I was so scared of falling off the raft LOL, I jumped and landed in the middle section on my knees. But it is extremely safe and gentle. The scenery was spectacular. They did have lunch for us, we went on the 12 pm tour. We also went in for a dip in the river! It was flowing ever so gently. I almost missed out on that because I don’t swim but the life vest they provide kept me afloat. Believe me, you need to go into the water to cool off because it was hot!! After that we cooled off and continued on our journey. Cole ( sorry if that’s not the name) kept us entertained and laughing.
