It was a great day. As is with a lot of the tours, the guide can make or break it. Raul was amazing. Knowledgeable. Attuned to the individual needs of the group. Clearly enjoyed sharing the region with tourists. Saw some wonderful animals at Hanging Bridges. He was skilled in both spotting and identifying the diversity of wildlife you could encounter. And we were all happy to see both Black Howler monkeys and Spider Monkeys. The waterfall was stunning, but really shouldn't be billed as a place to go swimming as you could go in the water downstream of the falls themselves and the water was a bit chilly. I was also happy i was in relatively good shape, the 500 stairs down weren't an issue, but it might have a been a problem for others. The chance to rest at the top and snag a beer was much appreciated. Lunch was delicious.

Raul was the most amazing tour guide! He was so easy to get along with and funny, truly the highlight of the tour! The hanging bridges were so beautiful and weren’t too scary if you’re afraid of heights like me. The waterfall was magnificent and we had a lot of time to explore it. The volcano hike was an easy flat loop. You’re able to bring changes of clothes and leave things in the van which was super helpful. Also lots of bathroom breaks and cafe opportunities in addition to lunch. If you’re looking for the best tour this is IT!

The entire day was amazing. Our guide, Juan Carlos was so knowledgeable about each part of our excursion. He was able to speak to all kinds of species and took time to answer questions. The van was clean, air conditioned and the driver was safe. I love going on guides like these because you learn so much from the guide but also get to meet others in your group.

Pepe and Joel were amazing! They were friendly, genuine and knowledgeable. We appreciated Pepe’s deep knowledge and passion for the land and work he does. We couldn’t have imagined for a better guide! He was genuinely concerned with our experience and made sure we both saw as much as possible but also learned about the beautiful Costa Rican heritage.

Every aspect of the tour exceeded our expectations! Our guide (Pepe) provided a great deal of information throughout the day. He was patient (as was our driver, Jorge) and knowledgeable. Our family (teenager included) would highly recommend this tour!
