Wonderful tour with lots of insights from someone who actually participated in the movies. Robbie was a charming and funny guide who knew basically all there is about Wellington and the trilogy. For a fan, the different filming locations were really interesting and made oneself fantasize about how everything looked and took place back then. One of the biggest highlights was definitely the Weta Workshop Tour with many memorable props and insights. The only things which have been a bit underwhelming were the quarry (where Helms Deep and Minas Tirith were filmed) since it was open for business that day, so we could only get a quick glimpse from outside (but this was mentioned in the description) and the "middle earth style" lunch, which basically was just a restaurant menu with custom titles that didn't really made a lot of sense (for example Legolas' Pasta Alfredo). A very enjoyable and fantastic experience which I recommend to every fan of the trilogy. Special thanks again to Robbie!

We had a fabulous day on this tour. The Weta Workahop tour was interesting and well done. After that our guide, Robbie, drove us to many sites where LOTR scenes had been filmed, and showed pictures from those scenes for comparison. Robbie was an extra in all 3 films and had lots of great stories about his experiences. We had lunch in a pretty cafe, too. All-in-all the tour was a highlight of our time in New Zealand!

Awesome visit with such an enthusiastic & knowledgeable guide. So much to see & we were able to handle so many of the props. Just brilliant, suited our young teenage grandsons & ourselves in our 70s.

First, our guy was amazing. He owns it and he was in Lord of the rings and we had the privilege to have them that day. It was money. Well spent. It was amazing. I loved it.

The guide was very friendly and word show things as she noted our interest. Am going to buy extra tinfoil for modeling activities at home
