Meet in the morning at centrally-located meeting points(Centro Histórico Parque de los Novios, Pozos Colorados, Bello Horizonte. Get into a comfortable vehicle that will take you to Minca, where you'll spend the whole day. After an hour's drive, we'll start a two-hour hike through the jungle of Minca, enjoying the lush vegetation of the area. Find out about the biodiversity of Santa Marta. Make a stop at a 'hacienda' or estate, where we'll talk about the preparation of coffee and its derivatives, and we'll even have the chance to drink some freshly-brewed coffee. Afterwards, we'll reach the beautiful El Oído del Mundo waterfall for a refreshing swim. Have you worked up an appetite? Head to a bamboo house where we'll enjoy a delectable gourmet lunch consisting of vegetables, meat, side dishes, and an aguapanela (an infusion made from panela which is derived from hardened sugar cane juice). The finishing touch to lunch will be the fantastic views and scenery of the Minca jungle; the perfect backdrop to your meal. After lunch, we'll enjoy a sweet treat as the icing on the cake of this tour. We'll learn about all the steps in the elaborate process of making this cocoa drink, and we'll get to taste a cup too! Finally, we'll finish the tour by returning to the meeting point in Parque de los Novios, Pozos Colorados, Bello Horizonte at around 5 pm.

Welcome to the secret ancient cocoa/CACAO forest. Here you will find a lot Cacao trees. Nature, real jungle life, Cacao process (from the tree to your mouth), bird songs, etc. Here you will find pictures of jungle animals that live around and come during night ej; since capibaras to jaguars. During the tour you will enjoy the priviledge to taste original Cacao from La Sierra. We will have chocolate drinkable and eatable. We will walk in a Tayrona indigenous path, see a virgin jungle landscape and if the time allow us contemplate a sacred waterfall.

From Santa Marta, embark on a 45-minute drive through the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta to find the small town of Minca. In the company of a local guide, take a 2.5-hour nature walk passing waterfalls, natural swimming pools, and scenic views of the surrounding mountains.  The walk ends at a coffee farm, where you will learn about the coffee production process and it’s importance to Colombia’s culture. Enter a bamboo house where you will enjoy a gourmet lunch before learning about cocoa, its production, and derivatives.   At the end of the tour, return transfers will be provided to your hotel in Santa Marta.

Departure by van from Santa Marta to the town of Minca. Transfer by 4x4 car to the maximum point where the vans arrive, walk 10 minutes to the artisan and peasant farm for the coffee experience (planting, harvesting, production, pulping, roasting, hulling). Here you can enjoy a cup of coffee. We begin a 35 minute walk ‍♂️‍➡️suave to the town of Minca. We get on the bus again, to go to the planting sector, to start a 15-minute walk on medium level in uncovered terrain, passing the river to reach the hidden waterfall of 30 meters high, where you can enjoy a swim and take pictures and videos of your experience. We begin a 30 minute hike to Casa Jocolate, where you will be attended with the best service and warmth, here you can enjoy a delicious lunch and enjoy the hammocks and green areas. We will start the cocoa workshop, which you can enjoy in 6 presentations, including cup and chocolate mask and also make your own chocolate bar. Here you will find a nature walk to a Coffee and Cacao farm founded in 1960. (39 minutes away from the town). We will see a really good view point to Santa Marta and if nature allows some birds like Tucans or Oropendulas. At the Coffee and Cacao farm we will have a tour and explanation of 3 Coffee types and 3 Cacao types. We will taste Organic Coffee and Cacao raw and Hot Chocolate. We will have a natural skin exfoliation with Cacao extract. In the AM schedule you can enjoy a typical local lunch for $25.000COP Chicken, meat, fish or vegetarian. Then we will make the walking back to town.

Ecological Walk around the Estate: We will explore the farm as we are guided through the coffee growing and production process, from planting to harvesting. Organic Coffee Tasting: We will end with a tasting of quality organic coffee, appreciating its unique aromas and flavors. Return to Town: After an enriching experience, we will head back to Minca, taking with us lasting memories of our tour through the mountains.
