From Yerevan: Lake Sevan and Dilijan Private Tour (transfer)
The tour starts with a visit to Lake Sevan, a freshwater high-altitude lake, then we'll go up to Sevanavank located on a peninsula at the northwestern shore of Lake Sevan. Initially the monastery was built at the southern shore of a small island. After the artificial draining of Lake Sevan, the water level fell about 20 metres, and the island transformed into a peninsula. We'll discover the charming nature of Dilijan National Park and its heritages. Dilijan National Park is one of the four national parks of Armenia, located in the north-eastern Tavush Province. As part of your guided tour, you will also have the chance to explore Dilijan, a charming town often referred to as "Armenian Switzerland." In Tavush Province, we have two more medieval monasteries to visit during this trip. Goshavank, a 12–13th-century Armenian monastery located in the village of Gosh. The monastery has remained in relatively good condition also houses one of the world's finest examples of a khachkar. Haghartsin is a medieval monastery located near the town of Dilijan. It was built between the 10th and 13th centuries. It is composed of three churches: St. Gregory's (the oldest one), St. Stephen's, and St. Astvatsatsin (St. Mary's, the largest one).
