Great experience. Loved everything about the cruise. Liked being on the small boat and being able to get close to the falls and seals NB Arrived early by car and would have appreciated finding a nice picnic place to eat our lunch. Not Mitre Peaks domain but maybe some encouragement to the local authorities!

The boat trip was amazing. There was no better way to see the Fiords up close. We really appreciated the complimentary hot drinks as well. The guide was good, however, we sat outside for majority of the time and there were no speakers to hear that (although a second guide checked up on us frequently and repeated interesting facts). We were really lucky to have seen dolphins and seals on our trip and had really nice weather, although, I imagine it would be just as beautiful any weather! My only criticism was that there was a lot of people, so it was difficult to get a decent spot to see everything and take photos.

Sit back and relax as your cruise departs from Milford Sound Wharf, and makes its way out past the iconic Mitre Peak. Cruise the length of the 16km fiord, out past St Annes Point Lighthouse, while listening to informative commentary from our skipper who will highlight points of interest along the way including the mighty Lady Bowen Falls, Lion Mountain, Copper Point, Seal Rock and Stirling Falls. We go further, and get you closer than any other operator in Milford Sound. Whether you choose to keep warm with a complimentary tea/coffee seated inside our lounge or want to get outside and breathe in the pristine alpine air, you are going to be inspired by the majesty of the region. Our cruises have strictly limited passenger numbers, rewarding you with an intimate experience of Milford Sound while allowing for unobstructed photo opportunities from our outdoor viewing decks. Be sure to keep an eye out for seals basking in the sun, pods of dolphins or rare Fiordland Crested Penguins that can be found seasonally within the region.

Milford Sound Visitor Terminal, State Highway 94, Milford Sound. Free parking - at Deepwater Basin (40 minute nature walk)to Cruise Terminal. Paid parking - 10 minutes from the Cruise Terminal. Disability parking - outside of the visitor terminal (As long as you can display badge).

Know before you go

  • We recommend bringing a waterproof jacket as we get very close to the waterfalls and there is a chance you can get wet from the spray.
  • We do not provide any food options onboard our vessels. Please feel free to bring some food along with you in a bag or backpack to enjoy whilst on your cruise.
  • Please notify staff if you have a passenger with a disability, and we can organize to board the party early to avoid queueing. Please communicate any specific needs with the crew and we will do our best to accommodate.
  • If a passenger is wheelchair bound, we highly suggest using the terminal restrooms prior to the cruise.

Awesome 2h cruise with a small boat. I totally recommend going with small boats as they can get closer to different points from the fiord. Also the guide did a really great job sharing information about different attractions of the fiord. A must do trip when raining, beautiful also when sunny outside.
