I have been on a tour of the Duomo before but knew there was a lot more to it. This is the tour to do if visiting the Duomo for the first time. Pace is steady and our guide explained each stage of our journey as we moved along. Rooftop and views are worth it. Every part of the tour was informative and revealing. From the back of the Duomo to the climb, every detail was explained about the marble, renovations, ownership, sponsorship and political-religious symbols. It was like a good book becoming real. Every area of the Duomo was explained and links were made to different symbols and altars. Windows at back of main Altar are unbelievable. A few very unusual discoveries are explained towards the end. The Baptistry is of enormous historical, archaeological and religious importance and our guide detailed many important facts. R

Our guide Mirella was super fun and bubbly. She was very well informed and was very engaging. We were a very small group of only 8 ppl and it worked great. We had access to various things aside from the rooftop, and it was very interesting to see the Duomo from top to bottom while learning all its history. Loved Mirella, she was awesome!!
