Finding the guide was very hard there. I had to walk around the square to find the guide who had a small sign of "get your guide" If you are late a little, that's OK, because there are so many process before we can get in, like check in with picture ID with museum, getting the receiver so we can hear the guide, etc. I wouldn't bring a huge bag because the lockers are limited. I think this is the only way you can go see the picture. It's impossible to get just a ticket because it goes so quickly! It was worth paying the guide because I learned so much more than going by myself.

There is a bit of time spent outside as there is a time limit of 15 minutes to see the Last Supper. So be prepared with an umbrella or jacket if it looks like rain. Also there isn't much seating in the square while you wait for the guide. On a positive note the guide was very knowledgeable and spoke very good English. The church is not part of the tour so you could go in there while you wait.

Sarah was an excellent guide and managed to move us along in viewing The Last Supper in Milan. I believe the group size was too big for all to hear and enjoy the tour. Either that or Sarah could have done a better job of bringing all members of the group inside each space before beginning her explanation.
