Full description
Escape the hustle and bustle of Milan on a full-day sightseeing tour of 3 gems of the Ligurian Coast. Departing by bus from central Milan, drive south to the capital of Liguria and the largest seaport in Italy at Genova (Genoa). Nicknamed “La Superba” ("Superb One"), due to its impressive landmarks, part of the old town was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2006. Explore streets rich in art, gastronomy and architecture. The birthplace of Christopher Columbus, its role in maritime history is beyond compare. Once one of the "Maritime Republics,” along with Venice, Pisa, and Amalfi, the ornate buildings and monuments reveal a rich story of trade and shipbuilding. Next, relax at the pearl of the Ligurian Sea at Portofino, a small village that dates back to the Roman period. Its glittering harbor and colorful waterfront houses have made it a much sought after destination among celebrities, while its Roman name of Portus Delphini (Port of the Dolphin) reflects the large number of dolphins that inhabited the Tigullian Gulf. End your tour at Santa Margherita Ligure, where the maritime scenery and turquoise sea blends beautifully with the green of the Ligurian hills, colorful fishing boats bob in the harbor, and picturesque fishermen’s houses transport you back to a less hurried time.

great areas to visit--uninterested tour guide

Visiting Genoa and Portofino were amazing but unfortunately our tour guide Eddie was not really interested or engaged in the tour. He was very snippy and hard to approach with questions. He made us feel uncomfortable. But all in all, these coastal cities were breathtaking and are a must see!

I judge that the evaluation is good

I only understood Japanese, so I checked various emails and answered politely. It's a little difficult to understand how to meet in the morning. It was only an English guide. I checked only the pickup time. The streets of Genoa are wonderful. I was happy to be able to go to Ferrari Square. I went around to see a very nice city. It was a pity that I didn't have time to go to the church on the mountain or to look around because Portofino was only a short time. It would have been even better if I could take a closer look at the historic buildings because it was from the bus. The driver, guide and Activision were good overall.

A very complete visit in just one day.

An interesting and busy day; a lot of bus, but it is the only way to visit and get an idea of Genoa, a seafaring city; With interesting, monuments and atmosphere, the small guided tour helps to know and then you can enjoy walking in the vicinity of the port. The visit to Portofino is very beautiful and with beautiful views, especially when arriving by boat; That is, if you are willing to walk and climb hills, but it is worth it ....... that if it is also convenient to take advantage of the time in Santa Margarita before taking the boat to Portofino and visiting some places without going away so as not to miss the boat .. ........ Enjoy the landscapes that there will be time on the return to rest on the bus. As always, take advantage of the kindness of the guide to inform you; in our case the tour was in English, I have no problems but my wife who does not speak it was able to comment in Spanish with him.
