We left Milan at 9:00 to be in Como at 10:00, once there they gave us a bottle of water and gave us an hour of free time in the village, our meeting at 11:00 was to go on a ferry. The local public navigation service (Navigazione Laghi) provides several routes that connect all of the most popular towns along Lake Como’s shores. When we came back around 13:30 we had again free time to visit, eat and they gave us a ticket for the funicular/railway that connects the city of Como with the village of Brunate. The line has operated since 1894, and is used by both tourists and local residents.

We took the wrong vaporetto and we’re going to miss our tour. I was so surprised the guide called looking for us. We got to reschedule for the next morning. So so kind! Alex, our tour guide, did an outstanding job at making all of his guests feel welcome. He even offered helpful travel suggestions. The tour itself was both informative and easy going. I appreciate there being no pressure to purchase from either of the sites we visited.

I have done this same excursion in less than a year, twice, both times with Get your guide…. It is a beautiful excursion and highly recommended but this second time I think that the agency has not done it correctly in my opinion. The boat that was taking us to Bellagio broke down, more than 2 hours late…..they made us get off the ferry and wait another 40 meters later. But it was explained to us by the guide that since we would arrive in Bellagio more than 2 and a half hours late and since there are several return ferry services, that we would take a later ferry in order to take advantage of Bellagio. But it was not like that: in October 2021 there was no problem with transfers, the return ferry picked us up in Bellagio at 4:30 p.m.; On 6/29/22 we arrived in Bellagio at 3:30 p.m. and the guide Alessio informed us that the ferry would finally pick us up at 4:40 p.m., that is, only 10 minutes after the usual time for that excursion and only with one hour and 10 minutes to eat and see Bel
