The tour started at the Last Supper. Our english speaking guide Andre was very good. He had excellent command of the english vocabulary and provided us with those sound things you hang around your neck with an earpiece so you can hear him in the quiet of the room with the Last Supper. He gave us a wonderful history of the painting, the building, and with Michaelangelo's life's work. You get 15 minutes to view the painting...it's big (about 10feet high, by 30 feet wide). It's a lot to take in. Snap your photos then just sit back and look at it. After the Last Supper, Andre took us around Milan on a walking tour that ended at the Duomo...an overwhelmingly large catholic church in the center of town (the largest church in Italy, second only to the Vatican in size). He was incredibly knowledgeable about Milan and all the sites. It was worth the time and money to see everything. Recomended, but be ready to walk and bring water!

Full description

Your 3-hour tour begins at the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, where your guide will tell you a bit about the structure before leading you through its famous refectory to Leonardo Da Vinci’s masterpiece, The Last Supper. Entry is strictly limited to those who have pre-booked, largely due to the delicate nature of this painting and its importance. You won’t have to wait in line with your privileged admission ticket! After seeing The Last Supper, your tour continues to the lovely small cloister of Santa Maria delle Grazie before heading on to Piazzale Cadorna. Visit the Sforza Castle, situated in the largest park in Milan, and listen to your guide’s commentary on its history. From the castle, you’ll see the Arch of Peace, a symbol of Milan, built in the early 19th century under the direction of Napoleon. Then it will be time to board a vintage tram from the 1930s for your tour through central Milan. Line 1 crosses the entire city center. Take a walk through the city center which includes fashion districts such as Montenapoleone, Piazza Belgioioso, Piazza Meda, and Via Omenoni, before reaching La Scala Opera House.
