Full description

Discover the iconic symbol of Milan with your access-all-areas ticket to the Duomo and see the 600-year-old cathedral. Learn about the history of St. Ambrose and the cathedral's important role during the evolution of the city both spiritually and culturally.

Admire city panoramas from the Duomo Terraces. Built using Candoglia marble, on bright days, you can see as far as the Alps and the Apennine Mountains. Elevator optional.

Admire the Duomo's 27 halls and its 14th-century Palazzo Reale's stained glass window, tapestries, and sculptures. See the archaeological remains of the S. Giovanni alle Fonti Baptistery and S. Tecla.

Gain a deeper appreciation of the cultural and spiritual heritage of Milan. Built in the 4th century by St. Ambrose and demolished in 1387 to make space for the cathedral, the Baptistery was forgotten until 1961.

We went first thing at 9am. I suggest first or last thing to bet the crowds. It was a long way down via the staircase. If you have any issues with stairs I suggest do not do the rooftop tour. Although you travel up by the lift coming down is always by the stairs. Excellent view from the roof and make sure you grab the audio -makes all the difference. We spent 90 mins between the roof top and cathedral. Simply amazing and definitely recommend this attraction. Full of history and 700 years old. We rate this 10/10

Minimal/no queue on arrival at 10:15. Straight up onto the roof. Superb views on the way up, on the roof and on the way down though some visible scaffolding on the roof due to the ongoing restoration work. Felt safe. Must see. Then went to collect headphones and set (a phone) from the central area inside the cathedral; you need to hand in your id to get this. Then had a good around the inside- amazing. The audio guide adds to the experience - it’s 8 euros but worth it. The ticket also gets you free entry into the museo del Duomo on the right side of the Duomo which is full of priceless artefacts and carvings etc.

Super easy to find the entrance and go through security. We had tickets for late afternoon so it wasn’t too crowded. It is a very photogenic location! If you like to post to social media, this is the place for you. ;) Of course you should also plan some time to see the Cathedral and statue of St. Bartholomew.
