Full description

Discover the iconic symbol of Milan with your access-all-areas ticket to the Duomo and see the 600-year-old cathedral. Learn about the history of St. Ambrose and the cathedral's important role during the evolution of the city both spiritually and culturally.

Admire city panoramas from the Duomo Terraces. Built using Candoglia marble, on bright days, you can see as far as the Alps and the Apennine Mountains. Elevator optional.

Admire the Duomo's 27 halls and its 14th-century Palazzo Reale's stained glass window, tapestries, and sculptures. See the archaeological remains of the S. Giovanni alle Fonti Baptistery and S. Tecla.

Gain a deeper appreciation of the cultural and spiritual heritage of Milan. Built in the 4th century by St. Ambrose and demolished in 1387 to make space for the cathedral, the Baptistery was forgotten until 1961.

A brilliant experience for our first trip to Italy we were travelling to Lake Como for our friends’ wedding but wanted to soak in some sights and culture in Milan before we headed up to the lake by train and ferry - we weren’t disappointed by the Duomo, it was truly spectacular!

The Duomo is obviously the iconic land mark in Milan, and it is undoubtedly beautiful and worth a visit. I never realised, until the audio guide informed me, that the Duomo houses ‘allegedly’ one of the nails used to crucify Christ (if you are a believer). The rooftop addition is very nice, but crowded and very hot, especially in the height of summer.

It was very beautiful but very warm with zero relief from the sun in the middle of July and long lines each step of the way. Prepare with hats and even umbrellas if you go in July/August because you will be stuck waiting in line in the sun for certain. Otherwise very beautiful.
