Wonderful architecture at the heart of Milan, we were unable to climb the Terraces early due to the weather being cold and the Marble being icy. So if you go on a cold day do the terrace visit later on. The interior was exceptional, very vast due to the fact it was made to house 40,000 people. However I internally compared to other cathedrals across Europe it is not as intricate in design due to being cast entirely from Marble, but its grandeur is literally breathtaking. Once we got into the terraces the views were insane, and as the day is clear we could see the caps of the Alps topped with Snow in the distance. **Beware*** - there is 256 semi-steep steps to the Terraces in narrow corridors. So, you don’t have time to stop to catch your breath if you needed too. So be mindful of this when booking the terrace ticket. Otherwise for the price and experience it was exceptional.

This was the perfect way to see the cathedral. The terrace entry provided the opportunity get an up close look at the structure, as well as providing pretty cool views of the city and area below. The cathedral was a magnificent sight and a must do in Milan.
