Our guide, Giuseppe, was very knowledgeable and provided so many insights about the Duomo’s past, explaining in great detail and showing us various parts of the Duomo, including the “basement” where there is the site of the “battesimo* that separated the 2 older churches. He is very experienced and also friendly and welcoming. He took time to answer all our questions. He took us around the roof to see the buttresses and many statues.
