The Duomo is a must for anyone visiting Milan! The detail in the architecture is unreal, definitely has the wow factor in my opinion. Unless you have a professional camera, normal photos do not do it justice ... needs to be seen to be believed. Inside the Duomo is just as breathtaking, would not hesitate to do it again. There is a dress code which is basically no inappropriate clothing and you have to cover your shoulders when you enter the Duomo, so either wear a normal t-shirt or take something with you to pop on when you go inside. The terraces are obviously very high up, so if you're not keen on heights be prepared. There are also a good amount of steps which lead up to the highest accessible roof so taking a drink is advisable. Enjoy!
This option only included entrance without any guide. We took elevator on Southside and walled along top to Northside where we climbed up. Lots of restoration work underway but still good views. Walk down stairs to cathedral. Don’t miss archeology area near front. Fascinating excavation especially if you like ancient history.
