My guide was Edgardo, he was excellent. He was hospitable, enthusiastic, and very adventurous. He was also very environmentally conscious as he picked up litter during our hike. You can tell he cares very much for the environment. I'm an avid hiker and wanted to go my own pace without the pressure of a group. Edgardo was a great partner for the hike, fun conversation, but also good comfortable silence for us both to quietly take in the sights. He also took me to a couple food stalls before the hike where he introduced me to ayote, a corn based hot drink, and an alcoholic orange juice with quail eggs that I don't remember the name of. If you're willing to pay for the private tour, I highly recommend.
I had a fabulous tour with Alfonso. We spent several hours touring around the city visiting markets, tasting delicious foods, learning about Mexican history and meeting lovely local people. Every where we went people came up to Alfonso to say hello. Meeting the wonderful family who taught me how to make salsa was definitely a highlight. It felt like Alfonso took me through a secret door and showed me a little piece of real Mexico, I would recommend this tour and guide to anyone who is interested in exploring this wonderful city.
Really excellent tour of the non-touristy markets, with beautiful historical murals. Come hungry, the food tasting is really excellent! The salsa cooking was a very fun (and tasty) experience. Thanks to our great guide and the resteraunt owners for a great time!
Magnificent experience, the guide explained many things to us. A very interesting and entertaining day. The driver is also excellent.
The ride from the hotel to the airport was great. Driver showed up early, was courteous and drove safe.
