Full description

Take in the three most culturally and historically important sites in the Mexico City area on a full-day tour. First, visit the archeological site of Teotihuacan and marvel at some of the most impressive pyramids in the world. See the Sun and Moon pyramids, the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, and the Dead's Avenue. Next, you’ll head to Mexico’s most important Catholic pilgrimage site, the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This shrine was built to commemorate the reported appearance of the Virgin Mary to Juan Diego, an Aztec peasant. The third and final stop of the tour is Tlatelolco, where it is said that the past, present, and future of Mexico meet. The Plaza de las Tres Culturas is named after the three periods of Mexican history represented by structures from the pre-Columbian, Spanish colonial, and the independent mestizo nation.

The trip was excellent, well-coordinated, and enjoyable. Our guide for this trip, Marcos was very knowledgeable and his renditions were really interesting. Our van driver, Juan was great and the duo took our group to an excellent Mexican restaurant close to the Teotihuacan pyramids where we enjoyed really great authentic food.

This tour was amazing. Initially, I thought that we were just going to be provided transportation to Teotihuacan, but there were two additional stops. The first was the oldest church in Mexico City, second was Teotihuacan, and then the Basilica de Guadalupe. Each stop had a tour filled with historical facts. Our guide, Angela Vilchiz, was smart and funny. If you can I would ask for her!

Great experience, everything was splendid. Pacing was very nice. Never felt like I was just sitting in a bus for an excessive amount of time. Highly recommend doing this with a guided tour and I’m normally a wing it type. Might have been spoiled as Angela (spelling ?) was a rockstar. Her English was perfect, im sure her Spanish was to, she was very fun and very knowledgeable never seeming like she was just reciting the script off a syllabus.
