What to Expect
Spend a day out and about in Mexico City, visiting popular tourist spots, as well as areas of historical and cultural importance.
Your day begins with pick-up at your accommodation, and you will be taken to the Square of the Three Cultures. This main square, located in the Tlatelolco neighborhood, is representative of the pre-Columbian, Spanish, and independent cultures. It includes Aztec temple remains, a 16th century Catholic church, and a modern housing complex.
Next, visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, a Roman Catholic church and National Shrine. This church is an important pilgrimage site.
Before you head out of town, you will stop off at a local workshop to learn how mezcal, an alcoholic drink made from the maguey plant. Then you will make your way to the Teotihuacan pyramids, an archeological site in the basin of Mexico. This ancient civilization is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy time to walk around and marvel at the stunning complex.
Afterward, you will be returned to your hotel.
