Full description

Explore the life of the Mexican Emperor Maximilian I of Habsburg on a tour of Chapultepec Castle, located on top of Mexico City's Chapultepec Hill, a site once sacred to the Aztecs. Venture inside the stunning monument, and discover rooms of classical European ornamentations. Stroll the halls full of light and discover stairways made of marble.

Admire the sculptures and busts of historical figures, such as Emperor Cuauhtémoc and the Spanish Conquistador Hernán Cortés, along the way. Then depart Chapultepec Castle (also known as the "National Museum of History") and break for lunch, before going to the National Museum of Anthropology.

Experience one of the most important anthropology museums in Latin America and explore rooms that detail the pre-Hispanic culture of the Maya, Toltec, and other ethnic peoples through the ages. Learn more from your bilingual guide, and benefit from the chance to chat about Mexican history.

We had Christian as our guide and he was excellent. I would have liked more details regarding the walking from the first venue to the second. The first tour of anthropology museum was 3 hours. (It’s about 20 minutes through the park for older folks.) The lunch break was too short although flexible and we needed a longer lunch to recover. We had to abandon part of our second tour due to tiredness The information was excellent and very interesting and varied. Guide information on murals was fascinating. 100% Christian for an enjoyable day.

We booked a private tour. it was very very good! Roberto was a great guide, spoke good English and had a huge knowledge! It were 5 hours, with a 20minutes break. I imagine it varies depending in how interested you are, we had so many questions and he took the time to answer them!

The was more than excellent. Leanardo was our tour guide. I was very impressed about how much knowledge he has about the history of Mexico. Every item he introduced us to was well informed. I was overwhelmed by the size of the museums. Every artifact displayed was beautiful. I would definitely recommend those who are interested in learning the history and artwork rather than browsing and observing. Thank you Leonardo for educating us. A lot of information to remember. Muchisimo gracias 👍🏽👍🏽🇨🇦🇲🇽🇵🇭
