Was initially disappointed as our tour was cancelled 24 hours before with no reason. However, the organiser was very responsive and booked us onto a trip the following day. It’s a long day but absolutely worth it. The caves and waterfalls are beautiful and there is more than enough time to explore. A tip we wish we’d have known is about paying extra once in the grounds to visit La Gloria (a separate and quieter waterfall). It’s a bit of a climb but was our favourite part. Liz the tour guide was brilliant and our driver was safe. Would definitely recommend.

Totally worth the long day trip, it was amazing and we had enough time to enjoy the pools, the river and caves. I just wish our tour guide, which was very nice, could’ve provide us with more information about the place, she was more there to tell us the meeting point and time no interesting fun facts or just facts about the place, the area nor Mexico

It was an amazing experience! The places are beautiful and well cared. They enforce the rules and regulations in order to preserve the integrity of the caves. Please try your best to comply. I enjoyed so much experiencing hot springs for the first time in my life and despite braking my water shoes in the river (had to buy new ones over there, about $9.00). The guide was pretty upset because one of the girls in the tour decided to stay with me getting the new shoes and timed us when we went to the pools. We had to eat in a rush. Then he and the driver wanted to drop us off far away from the meeting-drop off point. I refused and he decided to take us there. Because it was the nearest place to our hotels. We thanked them and said goodbye but they didn’t even answered to us. It was awful but that doesn’t take away from the joy of having visited the marvelous Tolantongo Caves. Add them to your bucket list please!
