Entertaining cultural and historical tour about The Godfather

Alessio is an excellent guide, with extensive knowledge of the movie The Godfather, as well as his good command of Sicilian history and culture. He took us to great places, a delicious typical restaurant and explained the similarities and differences between the film, the novel and the places that are linked to the story of The Godfather.

Excellent Godfather Movie Tour

What a fantastic day! Alessio met us on time at the Port of Messina on a very rainy morning. As we headed south the sky's cleared for a beautiful day. We were first to all the sites. We were thrilled to be the only ones there before the tour busses arrived. Bar Vitelli was beautiful and well cared for. We walked up to a church that was in the movie and such a beautiful stroll high on the hill. Alessio was a very experienced and safe driver. We would never attempt to drive the roads and streets we were on. He moved us from one site to the next with ease. Again, we loved being the only ones at the site. A reward for getting out early and booking a private tour. Our guide was very well educated on the history of Sicily and Italy. He was passionate about it. He was good natured and relaxing to be with. We highly recommend this tour and guide. The Godfather Tour was one of many he does. He knew a great deal about the filming of the movie, many facts. This part of Sicily is beautiful.
