Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Merzouga Depart Fes and pass through the winter ski resort of Ifrane, built by the French in the 1930s to resemble a Swiss village. Continue through the cedar forest of Azrou and look for the resident monkeys before your drive across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Wind your way through beautiful forests, mountain springs, jagged rocks and Berber villages before your descent to the Sahara Desert. Stop for lunch half-way in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks. Then, continue towards Merzouga taking in the panoramic views of a huge oasis of palm trees at Ziz along the way. Upon arrival in Rissani, travel by 4WD vehicle into the desert, reaching Merzouga in the afternoon. Here, your guide will be waiting with the camels that will take you across the dunes to Erg Chebbi. Watch the sunset from the back of your camel on a one-hour trek to a Berber camp. Upon arrival at the desert shelter, your camels will be tethered as you are served a welcome mint tea. Enjoy dinner and relax as you look at the stars in the sky. Stay overnight in your choice of a shared, private standard, or private luxury tent. Day 2: Merzouga - Tafilalte - Fes Wake early and walk across the dunes to watch the sunrise from just behind the Algerian border, about 50 kilometers from Merzouga. Take a shower after and enjoy breakfast before the drive back to Fes, and benefit from comfort stops on the approximate 7-hour journey.

Depending on your time of arrival, rest with a refreshing mint tea. Then, follow your guide into the desert and ride a camel across the sands. Trek across the magnificent landscape watching the sunset as you go. Arrive at the desert camp after a camel trek of approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival, your camels will be tethered as you drink some more mint tea. Enjoy a delicious dinner in the desert wilderness, and then sit around a camp fire to hear the beat of the drums and the songs of the Berber nomads of southern Morocco. Wake early in the morning and walk over the sand dunes to watch the sunrise from just behind the Algerian border, about 50 kilometers from Merzouga. Ride your camel back to the hotel, where you can relax with a shower and enjoy breakfast. Drive back to the bus station or your hotel in Rissani or Merzouga for the end of the tour services.

( break for lunch) Then, carrying on through the lush green Ziz Valley and making the last stop in Erfoud. Upon, arrival at Merzouga, transfer to the hotel to store your luggage. The camels will be waiting for you for a camel trekking experience (around 45 min) to enjoy the sunset on camelback to nomad tents where you will have dinner under the starry sky with a Berber folklore show (overnight desert camp). Day 2: Merzouga-Rissani- Midelt -Ifrane - Mouzar- Fez Get up, early for the beckoning Erg Chebbi sunrise. Enjoy camel-trek back to the hotel/riad for breakfast and shower. Before, back to Fez. We will Pass through Rissani, visiting Zawiya Moulay Ali Ash-Sharif, dramatic Ziz Valley. In addition to, Damn Hassan El-Awal. ( break for lunch), visit family lives in the cave at Immouzar. You will be met at the bus station or your hotel in Rissani or Merzouga, from there you will travel to a traditional Kasbah on the foot of the dunes of erg-chebbi. Following dinner under the stars, spend the night in a Berber tent. Day 3: Merzouga, Tafilalte, and Fes Get up early to take a walk over the sand dunes and watch the sunrise from just behind the Algerian border, located about 50 km from Merzouga. Get back on a camel to ride back to the hotel. Enjoy time for a shower and breakfast before departing back towards Fes. Pass through Rissani and Ziz Valley, stopping along the way for a walk and lunch in a Berber village before arriving back in Fes (lunch not included).

During this way you will discover many Berber villages and colorful landscapes of this beautiful region. You will then continue to the Todra Gorges: 300 meters height above the river. Your lunch will take place on the road before reaching the city of Erfoud; well-known for its marine fossils, hundreds of millions years old.
