. As an appetizer, the first stop is about tasting olive oils & vinager.
The region of Menton is full of olive trees that are used to make delicious olive oils, which are often infused with different flavors such as lemon, basil or truffle. We will taste some of them as well as the special vinager flavored with the lemon of Menton.
. The 2nd stop is full of savory delights of Menton. Seated around a table, in the shadow of the market place, we will taste :
- Pichade that is a kind of pizza made with fresh tomatoes, onions and aromatic herbs. The crust is crispy and the topping is flavored with thyme and anchovies, and is a pure delight!
- Pissaladière that is a delicious tart made with a thin dough and topped with caramelized onions, black olives and anchovies. The combination of sweet, savory and slightly salty flavors make it a beloved local specialty.
- & Barbajuan that is a fried ravioli made with thin dough and filled with a mixture of ricotta cheese, parmesan, herbes de Provence and Swiss chard.
