The horse ride through the foothills is beautiful and the BBQ afterwards was great. Organisation and communication was all good and I felt safe as a solo traveller on this trip. The ranch is about thirty mins out of town on main roads and then another forty mins on a dirt track in an old 4x4. The riding lesson is brief but the horses know where to go and just follow the line so no riding experience needed. The view from the top is amazing, would recommend this trip!

The whole experience was absolutely amazing. Me and my partner were both beginners and had never been on horses before but were made to feel so relaxed and it was such a tranquil ride through the Andes. Followed by an amazing asado and really friendly people who owned the ranch. Would recommend to anyone and wish we could do it again!

Full description

Head out of the city of Mendoza and into its mountains for a horseback ride from a ranch. Learn about Argentina's rich riding culture before tucking into a delicious, local barbecue with the ranch owners. End your excursion feeling at peace and as one with nature.

Meet your driver in Mendoza and head straight for the mountains on a ride that takes approximately one hour. Meet the ranch's owners and their horses, the latter of which will carefully be picked out for you. Get to know your new companion before hopping on the saddle.

Explore the local trails and mountain landscapes, with a 15-minute break so you can take snapshots of the panoramic mountain views from 2100 meters above sea level.

Back at the ranch, tuck into a typical Argentine barbecue with cuts of pork and beef accompanied with salads, roasted vegetables and excellent quality wine. After dinner, head back to Mendoza full of food and peace from time spent in nature.

We loved everything but if you could give coffee at the end of the asado dinner plus adding an espectacular time with star gazing for an extra cost will be a great add on!!!
