What People Are Saying About Memphis

Brilliant day out, taking in key sites with a great guide and experien

Our guide Ahmed Ettler and his driver were excellent from the start. Met on time, and driven and escorted everywhere with minimum of fuss. Ahmed was very knowledgable, starting our day out with a short yet adequate visit to Memphis, then on to the Step Pyramid and tombs at Sakkara, then a break for an good open buffet lunch (included in the price) in Giza, finishing with a spectacular tour of the Great Pyramids. Ahmed tactfully advised us how to carefully manage souvenir sellers and camel drivers at the various sites visited, without our causing offence. We would like to book this very courteous and helpful team again for more excursions whilst here, and highly recommend both guide and driver.

Excellent, professional, friendly, knowledgeable

Very impressed with our tour! Our guide was punctual to pick us up from our hotel and was professional and friendly. Our tour included Sakkara, Memphis, Giza Pyramids by horseback and then also Siwa Essence Maker and papyrus factory which was not initially planned but a thoughtful suggestion from our guide. The tour was private which gave us a lot of flexibility about what to do and when. Lunch included traditional Egyptian breads and meat served on hot coals, in a beautiful garden setting - a place we would have never found without our tour guides! Our guide was very well educated, keeping up a continual narrative of the Egyptian history and interesting facts. Overall we were very impressed and pleased with our tour. As two young females travelling alone, I felt safe the whole time with our guides who accompanied us the whole way. Am pleased to highly recommend this company to other travellers

Great tour guide, very friendly, happy and very knowledgable!

We were picked up by our tour guide at 8am prompt where we were greeted by a very friendly smiley happy guide who gave us some basic information before we set off about tips and Egyptian culture in Cairo which helped us understand a little more but then we were off. We were given a choice, we could take the normal tourist route into the pyramids via car and the road or to take camels or horses through the Sahara desert to see the pyramids from the best angle. It cost us both an extra £40 each ( the longest tour) but it was well worth it! I fully enjoyed my first experience of riding a horse and next to the pyramids, you couldn't beat it! The tour guide himself is a great guy, always smiling, joking and also so knowledgable! The reason it is not a 5 star review is because of the 'government shops' we are taken to. I think this should be optional as when I didn't want perfume I was still asked for 5 mins whether I still wanted the essential oils Overall it was very good :)
