We had an incredible experience on our Austrian countryside tour from Vienna, visiting the stunning towns of Melk, Salzburg, and Hallstatt—all in one unforgettable day. Traveling by bus made it comfortable and scenic, allowing us to soak in Austria’s breathtaking landscapes along the way. A special thanks to our amazing guide, Sofia, who made the trip truly special. She was not only knowledgeable and well-organized but also kind, patient, and genuinely passionate about Austrian history and culture. Her stories and insights added so much depth to every stop, from the peaceful beauty of Melk Abbey to the musical charm of Salzburg and the picture-perfect views of Hallstatt. Each location felt like stepping into a postcard. Salzburg, with its Sound of Music charm and rich Mozart history, was a standout. Hallstatt, though small, was magical—definitely one of the most beautiful lakeside towns we’ve ever seen. Highly recommend this tour.

The appeal of this tour was that it allowed us to efficiently visit Salzburg and Hallstatt in one day. The bus transportation was convenient and much smoother than taking the train. The guide was kind and accommodating, even for us who were unsure about our English, which made us feel at ease. However, all communication was in English, so those who cannot speak or understand English at all might feel anxious. The participants were from various countries, and we were the only Japanese, but everyone was friendly. The transportation option was a bit pricey, but since we departed early in the morning and returned late at night, it was worth it. It gave us a sense of security. The views in Hallstatt were breathtaking, and the photos taken by the guide were a big hit with my family. This tour is highly recommended for those with limited time.

A very long but beautiful day. The journey went directly to Hallstatt without any breaks and took 3.5 hours (toilet on the bus). Stay in Hallstatt: just under 2 hours. Continuation to Salzburg, duration approx. 2 hours. Then 2.5–3 hours in Salzburg. Return to Vienna: approx. 3.5 hours. The time in each location was entirely free for participants to spend as they wished. The trip was well organized.
