Planning Your Visit

  • When to go?

The best time to visit Melbourne is during fall (March to May). Not only is the weather at its most tolerable, but the changing colors of the city's foliage lend an air of charm to its Victorian-era buildings. If you can, try to catch the annual Food and Wine Festival during the first half of March!

  • How many days?

If the purpose of your visit is simply to see Melbourne's sights then you will need at least 2 or 3 days. That said, Melbourne has a multitude of festivals happening year round so consider staying for a bit longer if any of them take your fancy!

An excellent day tour travelling The Great Ocean Road. Tim the tour guide was informative and entertaining and he made the tour even more enjoyable. The views were spectacular and seeing 3 koalas was very special. There are plenty of stops along the way to gain a full experience of travelling The Great Ocean Road.

Highly recommend this Laneways Tour. Kathy our guide was so knowledgeable and went out of her way to show us things of interest. It gave us a whole new perspective of Melbourne, it’s history, street art & architecture and she pointed out many hidden gems we would never have discovered on our own.

Boat, gear and staff first rate and the scenery spectacular. Dolphins and seals pretty good too. Weather cold! The cruise should be on everyone's bucket list.

We had an excellent time, I guide was super fun and we also met some really lovely people who were on the tour with us. Highly recommend.
