Full description
Travel back to the days of the Medici family on a self-guided tour of the Medici Chapel in the Basilica of San Lorenzo, Florence. Enter the chapels, built as a mausoleum for the Medici family, and discover treasures such as the 16th-century New Sacristy ("Sagrestia Nuova"). Part of the vast San Lorenzo Basilica complex, the chapels were richly decorated to serve as the last resting place for members of one of the most important and powerful families of the Florentine Renaissance from the mid-15th century onwards. Admire the genius of Michelangelo’s craftsmanship at the New Sacristy. Designed for the tombs of Lorenzo and Giuliano de' Medici, its mix of architecture and sculpture is considered one of the great masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance.

Great! So happy to have experienced this in my lifetime with my daughter. However, like all of our museum/Vatican tours...it was very confusing and disorganized when it came to knowing where to go or what to do and not do. You really had to figure most out on your own, breathe, and pray for the best. Definitely recommend arriving early to figure all of it out.

The guide was amazing and informative, and engaging. However for the amount paid (550+) for 5 people, you see the last supper for 15 min, then walk around downtown Milan for a few hours. For the money I don't think its equivalent. The tickets for last supper are 15 E alone.

The electricity on the entire street was out when we arrived for our entrance time, so we had to come back later. Luckily, the power came back on and they honored our tickets despite the fact they were for earlier times. Wonderful to see the Medici Chapel of the Princes and Michelangelo's New Sacristy!
