Meet your guide in the metro station to begin the tour and experience Medellín like a local. Learn all about the stations and key points in the city, as well as how the metro system helped shape the new Medellin. When arriving at the connecting station, hop on a cable car up the hill. As you go, admire the panoramic views of the city and find out about its evolving history and troubled past. At the top, take a short ride on the bus toward the Comuna 13 district. At Comuna 13, the real fun begins. An enthusiastic guide will explain all the positive changes made to transform what was once one of the most dangerous communities in South America into a symbol of the new Medellín. You will have time to take in all the amazing street art and ride the electric outdoor escalators to the top observation deck, which offers incredible views.

The guide is great and shared a lot of information about comuña 13 and how it has changed over the years. You’ll take metro and cable cart together with the group. I’m not giving full five stars just because I wished we had more time to walk around and enjoy the streets. However, I 100% recommend it.

We signed up for this tour literally 1.5 hours beforehand, so our expectations weren't set very high. It turned out to be an outstanding tour. Our guide was spirited and knowledgable about the Communa. On top of that, the tour intentionally incorporated public transit - the local cable car as well as one of the busses that serve the Communa. Little factors like this really help you feel like you're experiencing the community instead of merely gawking at it from afar

The afternoon tour to Comuna13 was very interesting. Since it was midweek, there weren't too many tourists on the streets. It was very surprising how touristy it has become. Everywhere you see bars and small local restaurants. The graffiti seems to be more and more in the background. All in all a good tour to get to know the area and learn about the history. The graffiti is of course incredibly beautiful!
