Full description
Spend a day visiting the municipality of Guatapé, the city of many names: known variously as the interior sea of Antioquia, the Acapulco of Colombia, the interior Cartagena, Paraíso Paisa (paradise country), Remanso de Paz (haven of peace) and the heart of Antioquia's East, the city was actually named in honor of Cacique Guatapé, an inhabitant of this territory in the pre-Hispanic period. Spend a day visiting this growing and colorful city, made unique by the decorative tiles adorning the lower facade of the houses. For the third part of the day, enjoy a 1-hour boat tour through the reservoir with crossover music. See panoramic views of Casa Museo, La Cruz, Piedras del Marial, Piedra del Peñol and the ruins of the Pablo Escobar's vacation home. Throughout the whole day, you'll be accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. Please note that the order of the itinerary may vary.

To start, our guide Marlon did an amazing job. He was funny, engaging, and informative . Each stop was well planned, and we were given a good amount of time to explore and enjoy the locations. They were all so beautiful. The view from Guatapé was breathtaking. The boat ride was relaxing, and a great counter balance to the 740 stairs of the Guatapé. Also, Breakfast and lunch were both delicious and filling: we didn’t have dinner afterwards from all the food we had on the tour. I would highly recommend it, and would take this tour again

It was a really nice experience. Ginna, our Tourguide was very kind and included everyone. The tour was well organized, we saw a lot of interesting places and the lunch was very nice. Climbing up the stairs is a very hard exercise. Ginna told us it would take 20 min for her, but actually for me it took approx. 40 min, so I did not have a lot of time on top. The view was amazing! Also the boat tour was really nice

Overall this was a good tour. The El Penol Rock and the view from the top was pretty cool. The town of Guatape was really cute and colorful. The boat tour was scenic. It was a long day - 11 hours. It was a large group, about 40 people on the bus, and many of the destinations were very touristy. Overall, these destinations are worthy of a visit.
